!!!ACTION ALERT!!!
Pro 2nd
 Amendment Rally
Saturday, March 27, 2021
10am-2pm
Nevada State Capitol Complex
Come show your displeasure about AB286 the Nevada Anti-Gun bill.

Oppose AB286 Anti-Gun, anti-self defense, anti-CCW!
Please contact the Committee, there has been no vote yet.
Share your Opinion: https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/Opinions/81st2021/

This bill essentially negates the Right to Carry a Concealed Weapon (permit) and to open carry a weapon in almost every public place. Right now, you are not permitted to carry in a school, child care facility, on the System of Higher Education, or in a public building that has a metal detector. NRS202.3673.
This bill defines “Covered Premises” where you can no longer carry concealed without specific written permission including: a club venue, golf course, a casino, a theater, a church, hotel/motel etc., shopping mall, stadium, arena, concert hall, showroom, anywhere with live entertainment, a sporting event (rodeo, ball game, fireworks event, state or county fair, horse or car racing, etc.) In other words, this bill makes it illegal to carry almost everywhere including in the parking lots of places that will no longer allow firearms.
Nevada Constitution Article 1 Section 11: “Right to keep and bear arms; civil power supreme. 1. Every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use and for other lawful purposes. 2. The military shall be subordinate to the civil power; No standing army shall be maintained by this State in time of peace, and in time of War, no appropriation for a standing army shall be for a longer time than two years.”

MESSAGE for Committee: Please oppose AB286 which takes away the right to keep and bear arms by severely limiting the right to open carry or concealed carry almost everywhere a person may go including a ball game, rodeo, shopping mall, concert, or church. This bill is a violation of the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the Nevada Constitution Article 1 Section 11 which provides for “the right to keep and bear arms for security and defense…and other lawful purposes.” This bill does not make us more safe, it makes us targets, because criminals prefer unarmed victims. (Or better yet write your own message.)

Discussion
[A] !!!ACTION ALERT!!!   County Commission update from the Mar 23 meeting. There were 56 people there and about 30 spoke. Others were outside on 9th St with signs and flags. There were actually people there who were sent away because they said the chamber was at COVID capacity and they wouldn’t allow more in. Presented to all Commissioners, the County Clerk and County Manager were copies of the Resolution asking for the voter rolls to be cleaned up (remove dead people, those who have not voted in the last 4 elections, those who are registered more than once, those who are registered at vacant lots or businesses). We offered to volunteer to help with cleaning up the voter rolls. Several speakers asked to have the County opened; there is no good medical or scientific data that should require us to continue to be a closed County. At the end of Public Comments, Board President Bob Lucey announced he recommends to the County Manager to accept the volunteer help and that there would be a plan rolled out on April 15 for the County to open by May 1. But it seems their idea of opening up is just more of the same, but opening seating at restaurants to a bigger capacity. Please call/write/email the County Commissioners and urge us to open up fully and without restrictions, without masks.  To contact the County Commissioners, call 775.328.2005 or email Bob Lucey blucey@washoecounty.us, Vaughn Hartung vhartung@washoecounty.us, Alexis Hill ahill@washoecounty.us, Kitty Jung (no email listed but this phone # 775.560.7152), Jeanne Herman landfindercountry@gmail.com.

!!!ACTION ALERT!!! Show up at the next Commission meeting on APRIL 13, 1001 E. 9th St, Bldg A and make some noise about opening our County and asking what progress has been made on cleaning up the voter rolls.

[B] Jeff Church (via phone call) –

1) !!!ACTION ALERT!!!   WCSD March 30 at 4 PM at Damonte Ranch HS, 10500 Rio Wrangler Pkwy.

Suggested Topics: (detailed info available from Jeff Church on request: RenoTaxRevolt@ SBCGlobal.net)
**  Ungag Jeff Church (Board Prez removed Board Reports and Future Agenda Request from Agenda)
**  Oppose the mandatory racist and divisive Education/ Indoctrination policy in favor of a voluntary and fair diversity program.
**  Concentrate on Quality of Education: We have chronic absenteeism over 50%, chronic drug and alcohol abuse by students (possibly over 50%).
**  As per above, support a new Committee on Quality of Education and another on the Fiscal crisis.  Enough For Now!
**  We need good candidates to run in 2022. We must take back our school district!  (Roger Edwards said he would run for the School Board position from Sparks).
**  www.WatchDogJeff.com updated (still in progress) : take a new look

2) Not Related to WCSD
SB181 new tax: I respectfully disagree with Nevada Families on their support for a NEW TAX SB181. Jeff does NOT support any new tax and this one taxes clean air Electric Vehicles that already pay extra sales tax and extra ANNUAL registration tax. Enough.

3) Northern Nevada Conservative Meet Up: 35 members, My subscription runs out in July: would anyone want to take over this site on Meet-Up or help pay for it? I’m soooo swamped.

4) RECALL CALIF GOV NEWSOM: “Late Friday we received the official notification from the California Secretary of State that confirms we will have enough signatures to trigger a Recall against Gov. Gavin Newsom! To Donate for his defeat:  Reform California at PO Box 27227, San Diego, CA 92198″

[C].  !!!ACTION ALERT!!! SJR8 – In an unprecedented action today, without a hearing, without notice, the Assembly voted to pass SJR8 (Equal Rights Amendment that is anything BUT equal) in the full Assembly with 30 in favor and 12 against.  Now SJR8 we’ll have to fight that at the ballot box in 2022.  We must start to prepare for that NOW!

These 4 Republicans voted in Favor of SJR8* ERA.
Please let them know how unhappy you are with them.

[D] Monica Jaye – radio talk show personality, Constitutionalist and candidate for Congressional District 2 (CD2).  9th Circuit Court of Appeals just recently decided that we don’t have the right to carry a firearm, either open or with a concealed carry permit. They determined the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution doesn’t allow that. We must stop voting for candidates whose actions and votes don’t mesh with yours. Your responsibility is to focus on the Constitution and the rights in therein are for all people. This dividing us in the name of equality is simply wrong on several levels. Trump is not our savior who will ride in on a white horse and save our country. He accomplished the most important job any politician could do: he woke people up and God bless him for it.
!!!ACTION ALERT!!!  If you wish to help Monica with her campaign for CD2, please contact her volunteer coordinator, Sandra Linares, 775-741-7000.

[E]  King Buffet – Because we are at over capacity at Paisan’s and because we are expecting to grow, we voted to move back to King Buffet. Beginning April 14, we will be back at King Buffet.

Next Meeting – Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 11:00am for food, 11:30-1:00 meeting. King Buffet, 3650 Kietzke.

If you want to reach me, please do NOT reply to this email, as I don’t get to Outlook very often.
