SUMMARY
March 9, 2022
King Buffet, 11:30-1:00pm
Announcements |
Bruce Parks – Lincoln Day Dinner 3/12. Event registration now closed. County Convention 3/19, 7:30-5:30pm. $50 for event and full buffet lunch. Even if you don’t plan to eat or vote (Alternate or Guest), you must still pay the $50, to help us defray the cost of the facility. You are encouraged to research the candidates and pass donations along to the one(s) that you find interesting, engaging and impressive.
Bonnie Macon – event for Amy Brown on March 17 at Mimi’s Café in Reno, 9:30am, no-host breakfast. Sam Brown will be filing in Carson City next Wednesday for his US Senate candidacy.
Debbie Hudgens – Fred Simon is holding a COVID summit in LV March 26, Ahern Hotel. Many luminary speakers. $199. See the “Coming Soon” section above for details.
Nicholas St Jon– we have a right for “redress of grievances”, which is a violation of 1st amendment. National organization called Bonds for the Win. On Feb 8, he filed a notice of intent to file a demand and sue the County Commission. All the Commssioners are bonded and if we go after their bonds, they will not be insured and will need to resign.
Katherine Snedigar – there is a lot more to bonding than was explained. We (taxpayers) are paying for the bonding in Washoe County and if they are sued, we also pay for that. We need to find out how the County Commission has the authority to have the taxpayers bond them. Katherine is an “unenfranchised natural woman”, not a person or a resident. Unless you are in commerce, you don’t need a Driver’s License or a license plate. Katherine has her own license plate and drives with no Driver’s License. For more info on this, please contact Katherine, aka “Kitchie”. triplekranch@reagan.com
Mark Leonard – Thurs, Mar 10 fundraising event at his home for Monica Jaye has been postponed until sometime in April.
Monica Jaye – running for State Sen 16. Lines not yet drawn, but it will include south Reno, Washoe Valley, Carson City, Virginia City, Incline Village, Lockwood. Green New Deal – plans are in place for a similar deal already here. They want cars off the road and no private land ownership. What are they doing behind your backs? After a 30-year broadcasting career, Monica can’t sit back any longer and listen to the BS. She needs to get in the fight. She will not attack her opponents, but she will talk about their voting records. Say NO to the Dems and their socialist programs. She stands up for what she believes in. Big fundraising event on March 25 at Dos Amigas Ranch in Washoe Valley, $100/pp. Line-dancing, food, drinks, fun. She represents you and we can trust her to vote our preferences. www.Monicajayefornevada.com. Her debate with opponents is May 5 for lunch with redmovenevada.com/.
Discussion
Roger Edwards – Update on the County Commission meeting – Roger was called a racist to his face (which was news to him). Lots going on, but attendees (68) tried to keep them on the focus of voter integrity. We have no control over what they do, as they listen (some of the time) and then vote the way they want. More people are needed to show up. They gave Jeanne Herman’s resolution a number #2228. It was put off March 15, but more likely March 22.
Donald Fossum – how long has the Sheriff’s Dept been present at Commission meetings? We are peaceful, non-confrontational and no law enforcement of any kind is present.
Jeff Church – a number of Sch Bd events coming up. He pushes for quality of education over and over again. They pushed it back off the agenda until after the election. Appointed School Bd Trustee Adam Mayberry had photos on his website with high school ROTC groups, which is illegal and an ethics complaints charge has been filed against him. S1 and S2 taxes are coming. S1 would raise sales tax to 10%. S2 will raise gaming taxes as they struggle to recover from COVID. You should ask candidates their position on these taxes and ask them to sign the No Tax pledge.
RTC5, gas taxes will go up again on July 1, based on “indexed” inflation. The County Commission could stop this increase. RTC will hear this item on April 15. Stay tuned!
S.H.A.R.E. (Sexuality and Health Responsible Education) meeting on April 13. Beginning in 4th grade, they want no more talk about “girl” or “boy”, but a “person with a vulva” or “person with a penis.” It’s obscene that this is part of the agenda and part of the education.
ACTION ALERT!!! (from Carole): Go to https://www.washoeschools.net/domain/483, click on COMMUNITY REVIEW, review the lesson plans for the SHARE program in 4th and 5th grade and then take the Survey to let them know what you think of their agenda and how it will not improve test scores for WCSD, the bottom of the nation in education!
Kenji Otto – Recall Angie Taylor. Kenji’s been door-knocking to get sigs and found a house with 3 names who supposedly live there. When the door was answered and Kenji asked for the other 2, he was told they are the owners of the property who now live in Napa, CA. Guess what? They changed their address in October, 2020 and voted in Nov, 2020. Something stinks in Denmark!
Edgard Hitti – running for school board in District D, against Beth Smith. She sided with the entity that wanted to label us as terrorists for speaking out at School Bd meetings. They preach diversity and inclusion, but practice exclusion and single-mindedness. Traditional education is most important for growing up to be functioning and production adults, not the social engineering they are teaching. Students leaving school district in droves leaves a vacuum, which enforces their failed agenda. edgardHitti@yahoo.com
Melanie Sutton – running for School District C, North Valleys, Spanish Springs. There will be a Townhall on April 7, 6:30pm at Spanish Springs Library to meet Melanie, Cathy Reyes and Robbie Maus. www.SaveWCSD.com
Cathy Kennedy Reyes – Dist B – Sp Spgs, Sparks, Sun Valley. Her opponent, incumbent Ellen Minetto has filed, so we can catch her on her record. Ellen says she’s a Republican, but she voted for S.H.A.R.E. www.SaveWCSD.com
Kenji Otto – for County Clerk. He has filed, so it is official. Why weren’t local businesses asked to participate in the bids for printing that the Registrar needs? Kenji doesn’t say yes to anything he doesn’t believe in. He doesn’t say yes to things just because others want him to. He researches and does his due diligence. He always wants to spend taxpayers $$ in the best way possible.
Gary Schmidt – State Assembly 40, which includes south Reno, Carson City, Virginia City – he is running to be your eyes and ears at the Legislature. On Day 1, he will make sure the Legislators comply w/ the Open Meeting Law (OML). Then he’ll ensure the Legislators follow the Public Records Law. Then he’ll put in a bill to repeal the Commerce Tax. https://www.reformnevadapolitics.com/
Next Meeting – Wed, March 23, same time, same place.
