Discussion

Bruce Parks – Did you know there is a Lending Library at the WCRP HQs? Lots of Conservative titles!!!

FREE Chili Cookoff event on April 15, 3pm in Sparks. RSVP for specific address. (SEE ABOVE in the “COMING SOON” section).

Nicholas St Jon – Saturday, 3/25, 2PM, Veterans Plaza @ Sparks Marina, Veterans “Let Freedom Ring” Event. Washoe Patriots will be there registering voters and need help!  (SEE ABOVE in the “COMING SOON” section).

Next Washoe Patriots meeting: April 1, 12:30pm, 3175 Goldy Way (Spirit Filled Church). (SEE ABOVE in the “COMING SOON” section).

Herb Tate – Many cities (Singapore, S Korea, Hong Kong) are all UK-influenced and  immersed in leftist ideas. Herb has offered $100 to any left-thinker young person who watches six (6) PragerU 5-min videos in 10 days. If they can give the test score proof that they’ve done the work. Instead of walking and calling, this is a way to change minds and hearts.  If you don’t know PragerU, it is a series of over five hundred 5-minute videos on all topics politically conservative and provides statistics and hard-to-debunk data. https://www.prageru.com/series/5-minute-videos, then scroll down for the latest and to see what videos are trending. Each video is self-contained and they can be watched in any order, at the viewer’s discretion. THEY ARE ALL WONDERFUL!

Nichelle Hull – Wake Up Washoe County! (WUWC)– Her background is as an Human Resources (HR) Professional. She created Cliff Climbers, to find community support for aging-out-of-the system teens. www.wakeupwashoecounty.com (also .net, .org). Many people in the community have no idea what WC School District is doing, what’s going on with the Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), etc. Four churches are partnering with them to help alert folks to what is going on. She speaks at the churches from time to time. WUWC sends email alerts about the legislation coming down the pike, Library Board, the School Board, etc. They are also finding homeschool pods (mostly in churches). There is an awesome Homeschool Fair in CA and they hope to be involved. She is also reviewing the anti-grooming laws that have been passed in other states… hopefully we can get something passed in NV, if not this Legislature, maybe the next one. WUWC is focused on family issues and is non-partisan. They meet on Thursdays, virtually. To learn more, go to the website and read about it. There is also a newsfeed on the website called “Bird’s Eye View.”

Administrative Regulation 5161 – this is in WC School District regulations and it states basically that teachers & counselors do not need to tell parents about their kid’s desire to change sexual preference.

Former President of the Board of Friends of the Library wrote Jeff Scott (in charge of DQSH) and asked if their funds could not be used for DQSH and Jeff Scott said No. The President then resigned.

ACTION ALERT!!!  Please send an email about DQSH to the Library Board and the County Commission and please send it to this email address: secureinnocence@proton.me. This is Janet Butcher’s special email address for just this purpose. She has offered to print out and take all those emails to the Commission and the Library Board and show them a large stack. Otherwise, they pick and choose which letters to read at the meetings.

Lynn Chapman – Legislative Update

EMAIL:  director@nevadafamilies.org to get on an legislative update (e-alerts).

ACTION ALERT!!!  Here’s how to SUBMIT YOUR OPINION in 5 easy steps:

  1. Go to www.leg.state.nv.us-> blue toolbar across the top, click on NELIS
  2. Click on the top toolbar LEGISLATION -> just below that tab, see ALL BILLS & RESOLUTIONS
  3. Type in the bill # (no space between AB or SB and the #)
  4. Scroll down -> click on the bill and you will find Overview, (full) Text, and so forth
  5. Scroll down to the very bottom, where you can leave Public Opinions and share yours.

SJR7 – unlimited abortions thru the 9th month. Fetal viability is at the discretion of the abortionist.  This is being debated on the Legislative floor Thursday, 3/23 at 4pm. It has a large opposition who have posted their opinions online, but that shouldn’t stop you from writing anyway.

AB200 – limits the # of legislative bills in each session.          SUPPORT

AB237 – school-based health centers, open to adults and illegals. Puts children at risk because it opens the door to undocumented and who knows what disease(s) they may have or if adults coming in are predators. Has to do with Medicaid. Offered on the premises or near schools. Provides contraception to minors without parental consent.

AB231 – paves the way for government Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and “social credit scores” like in China. Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Definition of money means a medium of exchange that is currently authorized or adopted by a domestic or foreign government. The term includes a monetary unit of account established by an interfovernmental organization or by agreement between 2 or more countries. 98% in opposition as of today’s poll.

AB292 – polling places in jails

SB239 – Assisted Suicide bill

SB163 – provides that Medicaid (taxpayer funded) will pay for gender dysphoria treatment and surgeries.

**Every health care bill seems to be interlocking with each other and with Medicaid.**

Action Alert!!!  Call or write Lombardo to let him know to appoint a CONSERVATIVE to the Washoe County Commission.  https://gov.nv.gov/Forms/Share/

Donald Fossum – about our dear friend Juanita Cox … She’s been in a care facility and her appendix burst. She is in the hospital now, recovering from the appendix surgery and will be returned to the care facility. She is very weak. Please keep her in your prayers.

Kim Foster – Reno Stormwater Utility Tax – write City Council members. We are all older in this room and we are the last who remember real freedom. We need to contact our representatives in government and have our voices heard. This is way more expensive than the Raftelis Consulting Co the City hired to figure out how to raise the funds necessary for this project recommened and will provide a $7.5-12M windfall for the City…on our backs!  Be very strong with them. They are considering this proposal without a public hearing, without a ballot box initiative and would pass it in a heartbeat in the dead of night. We need to let them know we are watching and they should not do this!!!
