Discussion
Nicholas St Jon – was at the County Commission meeting yesterday (Tuesday) for about 8 hrs. The Chairman Hill illegal rule of no Public Comment until the end of the meeting prevails, or one can speak on an Agenda item when that item comes up. One of the items on the agenda was the discussion of high power lines up to the solar panels in the tri-state area (between CA, NV, OR). Praana Energy is doing the project and Nicholas took some time to talk to their representative. Nicholas researched and found Praana registered in DE, but nowhere else. The representative said they were registered in CA and NV, but Nicholas couldn’t find it. When Nicholas asked him if they were tied to any foreign country – a totally legitimate question – the representative went ballistic, called Nicholas a racist, a bigot, in a yelling tone. When Nicholas was able to speak on this agenda item, he mentioned the representative’s reaction to his question. He expected one of the Commissioners to ask the same question, but not one did. It finally came out that the project was going to go through a company in Singapore.
The County Commission is in violation of their oath by not agreeing to discuss with you/us a redress of our grievances. Chairman Alexis Hill keeps hammering down on speakers to “stay on topic” and doesn’t allow Public Comment until the very end of the meeting. The County Commission bond is the way the people can hold them accountable. It’s $100K performance bond that assures the public that the Commission is trusted. If a Commissioner is deemed untrusted, the bond is removed and chances are they won’t be able to get another bond and will have to be booted from office.
The whole incident of yesterday’s Commission meeting was reported on in the RGJ, stating that residents elongated an already long meeting.
Washoe Patriots meeting, Sat, 5/13 at 9:00-11:00am, Spirit Filled Church, 3175 Goldy Way, Sparks.
In Janet Butcher’s absence, here are her comments about the Commission meeting:
:
Thank you to those of you that were able to attend and speak out at the Commissioner Meeting today. You are CONSTITUTIONAL FREE SPEECH STARS!!
I counted about 25 Interruptions by the Commissioner Chair Hill with intent to BULLY or throw off the commenter from their train of thought or how they were presenting their discussion on the agenda item. She has given up the obnoxious screeching to stop clapping and since taking out the public comment from the beginning of the meeting – I guess so she can Bully and Screech at the commenter if she ‘thinks’ they are off topic. I am very familiar with this tactic – it is a narcissist method.
Agenda #12 (page 9-10). It appears that this transmission line is being done by a Chinese Nationalist company. It will go thru Washoe Co. to overlook Herlong and the military Sierra Army Depot, which is one of the nation’s largest major army depots. – This was passed 4 to 1. It was brought up by a commenter at the end of the meeting that within two days the permit would be handed over to a company from Singapore!!!!!! This is not good.
So far in the last month we have handed over our elections to a left wing Soros and Zuckerberg funded group to do what the Registrar of Voters (ROV) and the County Manager were hired to do. So if the permit transfer is true – we have sold our County to China.
Ask yourself “Why are we allowing our voices to be trampled on”
Legislative Update –
SB171 – Vote Thur, May 11 – Firearms Bill. A person shall not own or have in their possession a firearm if they have been convicted of committing or attempting to commit a hate crime. Very subjective, as in anyone can CLAIM a person is trying to commit a hate crime and lose their 2nd Amendment rights.
AB354 – prohibits firearms within 100 feet of a polling place. What about the 2nd Amendment “shall not infringe” do they not understand?
AB35 – Free iPads and cell phone for incarcerated felons. Also, free Associate Degrees and Bachelor’s Degrees for felons.
SUPPORT AB219 – Brings good changes to Open Meeting Laws and improves public access and speaking opportunities
AB359 – Takes away the people’s vote on a gas tax in Clark County. This is just the beginning. If they can do that in Clark, we’re next!
AJR6 – National Popular Vote would eliminate the Electoral College, rendering NV irrelevant. The states with big populations (CA, IL, NY) would rule the country.
SB131 – Abortion tourism, sex trafficking and sexual predator “sanctuary” bill, offering protection for abortionists and predators and making NV an abortion destination. Legal abortions can be performed here on even underage children when other states have made it illegal in their states.
SJR7 – Would change the NV Constitution to make abortion legal for all 9 months – what a tragedy!

- Scroll down to the very bottom, where you can leave Public Opinions and share yours.
Sam Dehne – since 1993, all the way to 2/26/2020, he followed County Commission and City Council and rarely (if ever) missed a meeting.
Supreme Court Justice William Brennan, writing for the majority in New York Times v. Sullivan in 1964 said that as Americans, we have the profound responsibility to engage in “debate on public issues [which] should be uninhibited, robust and wide-open and that…may well include vehement, caustic and sometimes unpleasantly sharp attacks on government and public officials.”
FEEL FREE TO QUOTE THAT IN THE NEXT COMMISSION MEETING!
The Chinese Army – the most powerful army in the world – has almost 3M soldiers and in the last 20 years, we have had an invasion of the equivalent of 2 Chinese armies at the southern border. We need 25K armed troops at the border. This will likely not pass the Senate, but someone need to write the legislation and get the discussion going.
Gary Duarte – Open borders in this country is against the law and treasonous. The Biden Administration is all traitors.
Other items of note:
- There is an RNC Election Integrity Zoom meeting at 4pm PST/ 7pm Eastern.
- The Basque Fry, sponsored by the Morning in Nevada PAC is June 17 this year and the keynote is Ron DeSantis. The price is much cheaper than in the past because DeSantis has brought in $million$ to this effort.
Roger Edwards – Republican Men’s Club (RMC) – fundraiser on June 8, raffle for the Sig Sauer included in the $25 buffet at Li’l Waldorf. 5:30pm.
RMC is the 3rd Tuesday of the month – King Buffet, Next Tuesday, 5/16. Doors open at 11.
Next Meeting – Wednesday, May 24, same time, same place.
