Announcements

1)   Carole’s list of “My Picks” for the Primary is ready for the asking.

2)   Regular CTL attendee Joe McElhinney was in a serious mountain bike accident. This was forwarded by someone in Joe’s church who does the prayer circles.

“Good Morning Prayer Partners,

“I received word from Joe McElhinney telling me he was in a serious mountain bike

crash yesterday afternoon.  He is in considerable pain as he suffered a broken

collarbone, broken shoulder blade (left shoulder and arm), 5 broken ribs and

suffered a pneumothorax.   He has no memory of the accident happening.

“He is in the hospital and has had an MRI, shoulder X-rays and a chest x-ray.  He is

on pain meds.  Doc’s are considering surgery to repair his clavicle.  Doesn’t know

how long he’ll be in the hospital but will transfer to a rehab facility where he will

receive care until such time he can go home.

“Prayers for “rapid” healing and cessation of pain.  I have asked him to keep

me posted on his condition etc.”

Follow up:  Joe has had surgery, is in Renown downtown. I do not know how long he will be there.

Fred Simon – US Congress – Columbia, Yale, Princeton, Penn, Texas (Austin), Harvard all receive billions in endowments from the US Govt. The DOD has 14M people in it and only 1.4M carry guns. Why do we need so many people in the DOD? Fred is a Conservative, not a Republican. The #1 budget item in the rurals is for public safety. Our schools suck, all over this district. Why can’t we unite all County Commissioners from all over northern NV and work on problems for the entire area.

The amount of $$ going to governmental agencies is absurd. There are at many US agencies that can be cut.

He’s been to the border several times. He understands the problems. He understands there will be contention when he’s fighting for something right. The choice is really clear this time. He will be a warrior in DC. We will hear from and about him a lot.

Fred has practiced in 27 rural hospitals, all over the country for the last 40 yrs. Obamacare does a terrible job of funding rural hospitals. He will make a national way to fund rural hospitals and NV will lead the way. He will be for all of America and all of NV.

Read more about Fred Simon’s vision for NV at his website, https://simonforcongress.com/.

Tracey Hilton-Thomas – There is a hit piece out today on Ch 4 on Tracey. Clara Andriola is smiling and everyone else had goofy looks on their faces. New Day NV PAC – first contribution of $25K went to Democrats and now New Day NV PAC has endorsed Andriola.

There is a Thursday night fundraiser at Sparks Florist on Pyramid Way in Sparks. Tracey will be handing out car flags. Promotion: scan the code and purchase a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and 50% goes to Tracey’s campaign.

Friday morning, 5/24 – hanging out at the corner Prater & Sparks, 7-9 am and Friday afternoon from 4-6pm @ McCarran & Pyramid Hwy. Join her if you can, even if it’s only for ½ hr. She’ll have doughnuts!

Northern NV Republican Women PAC is supporting Andriola. Northern NV Republican Women PAC is not affiliated with any of the Republican Women’s clubs.

Victoria Myer – School Bd District D – $1.4B budget at WCSD. Administrative costs have gone up 83%, while teachers’ salaries have gone up only 8-14%. Washoe County seems like a “pass-through” for those who seek higher office. Let’s start merit pay for teachers for those who are actually teaching reading, writing and arithmetic and promoting family values. The priority should be for parental rights. Policy 5161 that says that teachers and staff shall not talk to parents if the student wants to trans or wants to use the opposite bathroom or wants to go on sports trips and stay in the dorm of the opposite sex.

Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey… given annually to all students. 6th graders are being asked questions about the home life and questions about sexual experiences (this survey is posted on Victoria’s website) and the questions get more intense as the students gets older. The data goes into Infinite Campus.

Attorneys are running the school boards.

Perry Rosenstein was on the Board of www.statevoices.org from 2019-2023. Look at their website. He is a communist and is running in School Bd At-Large, District G. $$ behind Perry, even moreso than Diane Nicolette, so he must be their favorite guy.

Monica Lehmann – District G (At-Large) – agrees with Victoria Myer. Many Republicans don’t remember the Constitution. It breaks her heart. Take a course and learn the Constitution again. If you learn about freedom and truth, you will know your rights. Constitution needs to come back to the teachers so they can embrace and teach it.

Nicholas St Jon – Campaign Corners @ McCarran & S. Virginia, 9 with signs. More signs at Nicholas’ house, 3820 Wagoneer Dr, southeast of the airport by Peckham & Longley. An estimate of 10K people saw the signs in 90 minutes. Lots of honking and thumbs up.

In March, Nicholas served every County Commissioner with a contract, which they do not need to sign. When they agreed to their oath of office, that was their “signature”.

Tuesday, May 21, Nicholas served every County Commissioner with a Notices of Liability. Then he can sue based on breach of contract. Has also filed an Ethics document against County Commission Chair Alexis Hill.

Supporting Matthew Buehler for State Bd of Education, who will be terrific and he will raise hell for us.

Neighborhoods app with TPAction and get neighbors together to have a voting party. Reach out to the low-propensity Republican voters. Most people don’t know for whom to vote, so many simply don’t vote. Gather together and fill out ballots.

Washoe Patriots meetings – 1st & 3rd Thursdays, Nicholas house, 3820 Wagoneer, southeast of the airport by Peckham & Longley.  6:30-8:30pm.

Janet Butcher – At County Commission meeting yesterday, there were only a small handful of “us” present. The budget – $1.1B. Similar sized counties around the country $400K.

Mike Clark was not present; Mariluz Garcia was not present at first, but she phoned in just as the budget was coming to a vote. Jeanne Herman was the only one to vote against it. Andriola voted for it.

Library Board meeting was this morning. Switched to a morning meeting this week. They are discussing Bylaw changes. Jeff Scott is changing the published agenda carte blanche.

www.TheTruthAboutClara.com – Trista Gomez has put this up. Be careful… www.truthaboutclara.com is Andriola’s own website.

Joni Hammond – Republican Women of Reno (RWR) luncheon meeting June 13, Atlantis. Amanda Johnston was trafficked by her track coach, who later became her husband. [See details and how to RSVP in the “Coming Soon” section above.]

Partnering with the Leadership Institute (LI), which has excellent programs and speakers. RWR has had 2 successful LI programs – on one AI in social media and one on AI in general.  Coming Aug 12 will be another LI program on online fundraising. $25 including buffet lunch at the Atlantis. Save the date; details to follow.

Thur, June 27, Victory Party 5-8pm – Atlantis . [See details and how to RSVP in the “Coming Soon” section above.]

Wes Elliott next Wed 5/29, Nat’l Auto Museum, 6:00pm

Fred Simon

Dr Jeff Gunter

Kit deCarlo running for School Bd

Morgan Colvet running for AD30

Following night, Thursday, State Assembly & State Senate – Calvary Chapel

Donald Fossum – Gunter just surpassed Brown in McLaughlin polling.

Next Meeting – Wednesday, June 12, same time, same place.
