On the TPUSA website, there is a tab called “School Board Watch List” “Professor Watch List”. If you have experiences with either of those groups and wish to share your experience, TPUSA is creating a Moms coalition to go to Sch Bd meetings or to talk to others about what is going on at the schools… many parents don’t even know.

Discussion

“CTL News” Power Point PresentationI have been silent publicly on the war in Israel, but as an American Jew, I am very upset and worried. But I’m silent no more. This entire “CTL News” segment has been dedicated to the Israeli conflict and shares my feelings, thoughts and concerns much better than I could.  Carole

In the Power Point presentation were these videos:

1) The Middle East Explained (5:21)

2) Greg Gutfeld: the closer we get to the 2024 election, the better Trump

looks. (:44)

Superintendent’s SoE (State of Education?) address on Nov 7.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mleu4_hV0Wo (If you wish to skip thru the Color Guard, the school chorale group, the introduction of City/County officials who were present, the long introduction of Enfield by student Heidi Somebody, you may go to advance to the 19:20 for Susan Enfield’s address.

Roger Edwards – Pay raise also for School police (even though there’s a fight in one or more schools every single day).

Also a 24% pay raise for the teachers, which is absolutely needed, as teachers have been passed over for raises for a long, long time.

Quality of Education is horrible. We are the bottom of the state, which is at the bottom of the nation. How embarrassing! What happened to traditional education? Let’s cut out all the SEL (Social Emotional Learning), LGBTQ (Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transexual-Queer), and CRT (Critical Race Theory) stuff and just teach reading, writing and ‘rithmetic.

Truancy rate is 60+%. How can kids learn anything if they’re not there 60% of the time?  It could be an inflated figure, as 1100 students have left public schools to go to Christian or Home Schooling. Hard to know; they play with the numbers all the time.

Bruce Foster – Our WCSD schools are participating in “grooming.” Bruce is partnering with Karen England with Capitol Research Institute (Sacramento) as the point of the spear in this battle. Awaken is an anti-sex-trafficking organization here in Reno. They train teachers to look for behavior in students that might reveal sex abuse.

Bruce suggested we listen to Daniel Horowitz’ podcast from Monday, 11/6, where he discusses how Hamas has infiltrated into our country.

https://podcast.app/weve-brought-gaza-to-our-shores-e342011996/?utm_source=and&utm_medium=share

Mike Barbuto – Calvary Chapel is putting a school in their facility. TPUSA has a large division called TP Academy. Working through Turning Point and Schoolbox, they are aiming to set up middle school and HS to create an alternative to public school. They are also working to stop the abortion issue from becoming part of the NV Constitution.

Next Meeting – Wednesday, Dec 13, same time, same place. We do not meet the Wednesday before Thanksgiving or the Wednesday of Christmas week. So Dec 13 will be the final meeting of 2023.

In 2024, we will meet but once monthly, on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Jan 10, Feb 7, Mar 13, Apr 10, etc. If, as we get closer to the Election, we see a need to meet more often, we can revisit this then.

Have a joyous, meaningful day of thanks for our many blessings and may you be surrounded by the love of family and friends.
